Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Delivery Driver to serve our Pharmacy Services & Delivery team in Tempe, AZ. You will deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology medications to medical care providers, package and prepare shipments, and use a handheld device to confirm orders and navigate routes.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent or related work experience.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
• Ability to manage up to 75 pounds and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
• Basic proficiency in English to read and write documents and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceutical or oncology medications to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Package radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, perform testing, and load/unload containers.
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, obtain route information, and navigate.
• Process packages returned from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicles and perform minor roadside repairs; ensure safety standards.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Pharmacy Services & Delivery is responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Shift/Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday, Thursday through Friday 11:30AM to 8:00PM

• Saturday - Sunday 6:30AM to 3:00PM

• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, shifts and overtime as per business need
• Candidate must be available for training session at the start of employment. Typical training hours are Monday-Friday from 5:00am-1:30pm but may change based on business need.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• Basic proficiency in English is preferred, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents and understand safety policies
• Ability to manageup to 75 pounds
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Flexibility to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.
• Ability to work weekends, holiday, on call or be in a weekend, holiday or on call rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to work overtime with little or no advance notice
• Ability to use computers and tablets
