Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Pharmacy Driver to ensure prompt delivery of radiopharmaceuticals and oncology medications to medical care providers. You will prepare doses for shipment, load and unload containers, and verify orders via a handheld tablet.

The role requires driving in all weather, lifting up to 75 pounds, and working a schedule that includes weekends, overtime, and variable hours. On-site, with full benefits and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and operate a vehicle for long periods.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, or alternate shifts as needed.
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment and reading/processing documents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiopharmaceuticals or oncology meds to customer accounts on the assigned route using a company vehicle (non-CDL).
• Package medications for shipment, perform testing, and load/unload containers.
• Use a handheld tablet to scan orders, confirm route stops, and navigation details.
• Process packages returned from customer locations.
• Maintain vehicle condition and perform minor roadside repairs as needed.
• Assist with general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Shift/Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Monday through Friday 4:00AM to 12:00PM
• Candidate must be flexible to work different days, schedules, hours, come in early, stay late, or work overtime based on business needs.

What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)
• Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containers
• Uses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigation
• Processes packages returned from customer locations
• Maintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs
• Performs general facility cleaning and other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehicle
• Must hold a valid driver's license
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours
• Ability to manage weight up to 75 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of time
• Ability to work weekends, on call, holidays, overtime, alternate days/shifts, or be in a rotation
• Comfortable working in a nuclear environment
• Ability to use computers and tablets
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Basic proficiency in English is required, including being able to read and write in English in order to process documents.
• May require vendor credentialing
