Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply is hiring a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, pick, pack and distribute inventory. You will operate light warehouse equipment, perform safety inspections, and ensure orders meet customer standards. Occasionally you may deliver orders using a light van to satisfy customer needs.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm; steel-toed boots required and a DOT medical exam may be required for some duties. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.
• Lift and move inventory and operate warehouse equipment per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload deliveries, identify materials, and note discrepancies.
• Store products in correct locations and pack customer orders to meet quality standards.
• May perform delivery duties in a light van to fulfill customer orders.

Overview:

• Receive, store, select, pack, and distribute warehouse inventory.

Typical Functions:

• Perform any and all physical requirements necessary to lift and move inventory around the warehouse.
• Operate and maneuver warehouse equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions.
• Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all Company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections.
• Unload delivery vehicles, accurately identifying material, breaking down material, and noting discrepancies.
• Accurately store product to the proper location following the outlined process; the use of light equipment may be required.
• Select and pack customer orders following the outlined process; ensure conformance to customer standards and expectations.
• May perform Delivery Driver duties as needed; operate a light van or delivery vehicle to deliver customer orders; ensure that customers orders are delivered to meet customer expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

Work Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Compensation Details: The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Additional Information:

• Steel toed boots required.
• CDL not required, but must pass DOT medical exam.
