Job summary

Charlie’s Produce is seeking a delivery driver to safely and efficiently deliver produce across the Puget Sound region. You will verify invoices, transport pallets with a hand truck, and uphold excellent customer service at each stop.

Requirements include the ability to lift 50 lbs, a valid medical card after hiring, and a good driving record. This role is safety-sensitive and based in Washington state with potential benefits as listed.

Qualifications

• Be 23 yrs old or older and able to meet DOT requirements.
• Valid medical card required after hiring.
• Ability to read and understand English per DOT rules.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs during shifts.
• Maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver produce safely and efficiently to customers in the Puget Sound region.
• Check invoices during deliveries and assist with payment/documentation as needed.
• Operate a company vehicle with dash cam and comply with data privacy policies.
• Provide superior customer service at each delivery and support coordination with other departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Role

You will be primarily responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of produce to customers throughout the Puget Sound region.

Essential Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To

• Accurately check invoices as you make deliveries
• Palletized product will be delivered to customers with hand truck
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Perform superior customer service as you interact with customers at each delivery
• Assist in issuing credit memos and collecting payment for COD customers
• Promote & maintain a flexible, cooperative, team-oriented & customer-focused attitude with co-workers & other departments
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle equipped with an outward and driver facing dash cam.
• Adhere to company policy regarding dash cam usage and data privacy.
• Drivers are expected to maintain the functionality of their assigned vehicle's dash cam.
• All other duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Be 23 yrs old or older
• Driving experience preferred
• Will need a valid medical card after hiring
• Demonstrated ability to lift/ push/ pull 50 lbs. throughout shift
• Per DOT rules, applicant should have the ability to read and understand English
• Satisfactory driving record
