5th Axis in San Diego, CA is seeking a dependable Delivery Driver to transport materials and products safely, accurately, and on schedule. You’ll verify orders, maintain delivery records, inspect vehicles, and coordinate with internal teams on status and priorities.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, using GPS for routes, and assisting with warehouse tasks as needed. Forklift experience or training is a plus, with a strong emphasis on safe driving and customer service.

Deliver Safely, Accurately, and On Time

As a Delivery Driver, you’ll load, secure, transport, and deliver materials using established routes, schedules, and safety procedures.

You’ll verify orders and documentation, maintain accurate delivery records, inspect your assigned vehicle, and communicate with Warehouse, Production, and other internal teams regarding delivery status. Experienced drivers may also coordinate priorities, adjust routes, resolve delivery issues, train other drivers, and help improve delivery operations.

What the Job Looks Like

• You confirm each delivery against the order, quantities, packing documentation, and special instructions.


• You load and secure materials to prevent damage or movement during transport.


• You use GPS and routing tools to complete deliveries safely and efficiently.


• You maintain accurate delivery logs and required records.


• You inspect your assigned vehicle and report maintenance or safety concerns.


• You operate a forklift or other approved equipment to support loading and unloading.


• When you’re not on a delivery route, you assist with warehouse and logistics activities.

What You’ll Do Here

• Load, secure, transport, unload, and deliver materials and products safely and efficiently.


• Complete assigned delivery routes according to established schedules and operational priorities.


• Verify orders, quantities, delivery locations, packing slips, and related documentation.


• Create or manage internal packing-slip requests when required.


• Use GPS, navigation, and routing tools to identify efficient and appropriate routes.


• Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, confirmations, and other required documentation.


• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns.


• Monitor vehicle condition and support maintenance coordination and reporting.


• Operate forklifts and other approved equipment to load or unload materials.


• Communicate delivery status, delays, discrepancies, and other concerns to the appropriate teams.


• Coordinate with Warehouse, Production, and other departments to support changing delivery priorities.


• Troubleshoot delivery delays, routing problems, documentation discrepancies, and customer concerns.


• Follow applicable Department of Transportation requirements, traffic laws, and company safety standards.


• Protect Company property and handle customer and Company materials carefully and professionally.


• Support route planning, driver training, delivery coordination, and process improvements based on experience and operational needs.


• Assist with warehouse and logistics operations when not assigned to a delivery route.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• A valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company and insurance requirements.


• The ability to operate a delivery vehicle safely and responsibly.

• Basic navigation skills and the ability to use GPS and routing tools.

• The ability to operate a forklift safely—or the willingness and ability to complete required training and certification.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.

Experience That Will Help You Succeed

• Previous delivery, route-driving, transportation, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.


• Experience verifying orders, quantities, packing slips, and delivery documentation.


• Forklift experience or current forklift certification.


• Experience loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials.


• Familiarity with commercial vehicle inspections and maintenance reporting.


• Experience planning routes, coordinating delivery schedules, or responding to changing priorities.


• Experience resolving delivery delays, discrepancies, or customer concerns.


• Experience training or supporting other drivers and improving delivery processes.

Previous professional driving experience is welcomed but not required for candidates who demonstrate safe driving habits, reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
