Job summary

Pella Gateway is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver products to customer locations and job sites, while providing excellent service. You will load and unload, run routes, verify orders, and assist with light warehouse tasks as needed.

The role requires a valid license, clean driving record, and a focus on safety. You may participate in two-person deliveries for larger items and use scanners and GPS tools to manage orders and routes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Previous delivery driving, transportation, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Experience operating a 26' box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred.
  • Forklift certification or experience is a plus.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and safety minded.
  • Ability to read and interpret delivery schedules, work orders, maps, and shipping documents.
  • Ability to operate mobile technology, scanners, GPS systems, and inventory software.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 26' box truck to transport and deliver products to customer locations and job sites.
  • Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently while maintaining on-time delivery schedules.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely to prevent damage during transit.
  • Verify delivery orders for accuracy prior to departure and upon delivery.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service during all customer interactions.
  • Obtain required delivery documentation, signatures, and confirmations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery status and scheduling updates.
  • Assist with assembly, setup, or light repair of products at delivery locations when required.
  • Utilize scanners and company technology to update delivery and inventory management systems.
  • Adhere to all DOT, company, and safety regulations.
  • Assist with loading delivery trucks and preparing orders for shipment when not on delivery routes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle and work environment.
  • Participate in two-person deliveries when required for larger or heavier products.
  • Perform other delivery, transportation, and warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Delivery Driver

Position Overview

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of products, materials, and equipment to customer locations and job sites. This position serves as a key representative of the company by providing excellent customer service, maintaining delivery schedules, and ensuring products arrive in excellent condition. Drivers will also assist with loading, unloading, product assembly, and light warehouse duties.
