Job summary

Shute Oil & Propane in Rudyard Township, MI, is seeking a CDL driver to load, transport, and deliver propane safely to customers while ensuring on-time service. You will maintain DOT compliance, complete accurate service orders, inspect vehicles, and work with service and dispatch teams.

On-call rotations may be required. Compensation ranges from $20 to $25 per hour, with medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid holidays and PTO, life/AD&D, disability coverage,

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Driving record meets company insurance requirements.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs.
• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours.
• Commitment to following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements
• Complete accurate service orders, documentation, and parts billing each day.

Must Have

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Driving record that meets company insurance requirements
• Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work on-call and outside regular hours when required
• Commitment to following safety procedures without exception

Nice to Have

• Comfort using basic computer systems for logging, inspections, and documentation
• Experience working directly with residential or commercial customers
• Familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance standards

Pay: $20-25 per hour (Depending on Experience)
