Job summary

The Corken Steel Products Company is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver fabrication, HVAC, and roofing materials while supporting warehouse operations. This role requires DOT-regulated vehicle operation, load verification, and professional customer service at branch locations and job sites.

Responsibilities include driving DOT/Non-CDL trucks, performing inspections, securing loads, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

• Experience in delivery, routing, HVAC or building materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate DOT-regulated/Non-CDL 16- and 26-foot box trucks to deliver materials to customers.
• Pull, stage, verify, load, secure, transport, and deliver orders accurately.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation.
• Verify materials against delivery paperwork before departure and on delivery.
• Ensure loads are properly secured and protected during transit.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Obtain proof of delivery with customer signatures and complete paperwork.
• Assist customers and team with loading/unloading materials.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment when authorized.
• Support warehouse operations when not on delivery routes.
• Report maintenance, safety concerns, delays promptly.
• Participate in training and maintain safe work areas.

Position Summary

The Delivery Driver safely delivers Fabrication, HVAC, and Roofing materials for The Corken Steel Products Company while supporting daily warehouse operations as needed. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, this role operates DOT-regulated vehicles, verifies and secures loads, completes required inspections and documentation, and provides professional service to customers, vendors, job sites, and branch locations. The role requires safe driving, accurate order handling, and strong time management.

Job Specific Competencies

Safety Awareness - Operates vehicles, forklifts, equipment, and materials safely while following traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company procedures.

Customer Service - Represents the company professionally during pickups, deliveries, vendor interactions, and job-site service.

Position Responsibilities

-Safely operate DOT-regulated/Non-CDL 16-foot and 26-foot automatic box trucks to transport Fabrication, HVAC, and Roofing materials to customer shops, job sites, branch locations, and other assigned destinations.

-Accurately pull, stage, verify, load, secure, transport, and deliver customer orders.

-Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation in accordance with DOT and company requirements.

-Verify materials against delivery paperwork before departure and upon delivery.

-Ensure loads are properly secured, balanced, protected, and transported safely for safe transit and to protect materials from avoidable damage.

-Comply with all applicable DOT regulations, traffic laws, delivery expectations, company safety policies, and PPE requirements.

-Obtain proof of delivery photos with customer signatures and complete shipping, receiving, delivery, return, inspection, and driver documentation accurately.

-Assist customers, vendors, and team members with loading and unloading materials safely and professionally.

-Operate forklifts, tow motors, pallet jacks, hand trucks, ladders, and related warehouse equipment when authorized.

-Support receiving, stocking, staging, transfers, warehouse organization, and daily branch operations when not on delivery routes.

-Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, delivery issues, customer concerns, damaged material, shortages, or route delays promptly.

-Participate in DOT, on-the-job delivery expectations, product, vendor, warehouse, and safety training as required.

-Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, vehicle, staging, loading, and delivery areas.

Qualifications

-Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

-Current DOT medical certification and ability to meet all applicable DOT driver qualification requirements.

-Ability to operate DOT-regulated/Non-CDL vehicles safely and professionally.

-Strong time management skills aligned with Corken's delivery driver career track expectations.

-Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

-Prior route driving, distribution, HVAC, Roofing, or building materials experience preferred.

-Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and work in varying warehouse, outdoor, traffic, and job-site conditions.

-Strong attention to detail, time management, customer service, safety awareness, and dependable attendance.

Experience

-Delivery, route driving, Distribution, building materials, HVAC, or Roofing experience preferred.

-Experience operating DOT-regulated vehicles, forklifts, tow motors, pallet jacks, or material-handling equipment preferred.

-Experience completing DOT inspections, delivery paperwork, load securement, and customer delivery documentation preferred.

-Entry-level delivery candidates with an acceptable driving record and ability to complete required on-the-job training may be considered.
