Elliott Electric Supply is seeking a delivery driver to support warehouse operations by transporting materials along designated routes and delivering orders to customers promptly and courteously.
The role requires loading and unloading per Ship Tickets, verifying accuracy, and maintaining secure, safe transport from store to destination. It also includes daily vehicle inspections and adherence to safety standards.
Support warehouse operations by transporting materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders. Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination. Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket. Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle. R esponsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ValidDriver's License in state of residence with 3 yearsdriving history. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no type A violation; or no more than (1) type B violation inpast (3) years.A Department of Transportationphysical exam will be conducted by a licensed medical examiner.Read, comprehend, write, perform calculations, input accurately, reason, and analyze. Function independently, completing various tasks accurately with close attention to detail.
Physical Requirements: Frequent driving is required. Visits to customers will expose the individual to all types of weather conditions. Must be aware of each customer’s environment and adhere to the proper safety regulations since there will be occasional exposure to events such as excessive noise and moving machinery. Frequently walk, bend, squat, climb, and kneel. Occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching. Regular handling of objects and lifting of up to 50 pounds. Occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. Physically qualified to drive a motor vehicle in accordance with the medical qualification standards in Sec. 391.41; This is a safety sensitive position, the ability to work in a constant state of awareness and in a safe manner is imperative.
