Job summary

Irving Oil is seeking a Delivery Dispatcher to coordinate and manage events that affect the daily route and driver safety while meeting customer needs. You will support delivery drivers and collaborate with internal and external customers to keep operations running smoothly.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork within an onsite environment. A post-secondary background is preferred, with 3–5 years in a dispatch-like setting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in dispatch or a related field.
• Preferably in a contact center or transportation environment.
• Team player that can accept shared responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls from customers and record significant information, used to create work orders.
• Partner with Load builders and maintain connection with customer and field representative to execute the schedule.
• Apply policies to determine critical processes and ensure customers are billed appropriately.
• Deliver status updates to Operations Managers and internal parties.
• Propose recommendations to optimize performance and resolve issues.
• Maintain call center metrics and guide CSRs and Sales regarding codes and schedules.
