Job summary

Irving ISD Transportation in Irving, Texas is hiring a Dispatcher to coordinate daily bus routes, extracurricular trips, and staff transport. You will monitor radio calls, dispatch buses, relay information to drivers, and track routes using GPS or other systems.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, knowledge of bus scheduling, and the ability to stay organized under pressure. This full-time, on-site position offers a competitive hourly wage, a Letter of Assurance, and opportunity

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Texas School Bus Driver Certification preferred
• Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License - Class A or B CDL with P and S endorsements preferred
• Ability to pass annual DOT physical examination and random drug testing
• Train the Trainer Certification preferred
• One year flex driver preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily pupil transport operations with routing and field trips.
• Monitor and answer radio calls and dispatch buses.
• Answer phones and convey information to drivers.
• Ensure routes are efficient and safe using GPS or other systems.
• Assist with special education equipment and staff transportation needs.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and stakeholders.
