Job summary

The Suddath Companies seeks an experienced dispatcher to manage local Home Delivery operations, routing contractors in designated markets, assigning routes, and resolving delivery issues. You will book deliveries and ensure timely, efficient service for customers and drivers alike.

Ideal candidates have a customer service mindset, strong multi-tasking ability, and solid communication skills. Travel and warehouse coordination may be involved as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in customer service, transportation, or related field.
• Experience in Home Delivery or Last Mile is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Highlight, stamp, separate, and sort all delivery tickets and service orders.
• Route, time frame, and assign all delivery tickets and service orders for next day's routes.
• Ensure that all orders are dispatched for the following day.
• Coordinate with local warehouse for reverse logistics orders.
• Inspect and maintain contractor documents as needed.
• Provide day-to-day route information to independent contractors.
• Address customer, driver, or route issues as they arise during the day.
• Maintain good relations with independent contractors and track progress.
• Enter notes for contractors into the DMS and support audits as required.
• Support local operations with various tasks as needed.
