Ewing Outdoor Supply in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Service Professional / Customer Service-Delivery Driver to provide excellent customer service and deliver products to customers in a timely, professional manner. The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, adherence to safety and DOT requirements, and a customer-focused approach to drive store profits and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Go the extra mile to engage customers.
• Greet and direct customers and provide product information.

• Cross-sell products and ensure shelves are stocked and prices are accurate.
• Deliver items to different addresses and follow routes and time schedules.
• Load/unload and inspect delivery vehicle; assist with returns when needed.

Ewing Outdoor Supply is a fourth generation, family-owned wholesale landscape, irrigation, and

outdoor supply company looking for dependable, customer-focused team members to join our

This role provides a variety of activities—including customer service, warehouse operations, inventory

support, local deliveries, and sales assistance—making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active,

working both indoors and outdoors, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Though

preferred, this hands-on, foundational role doesn’t require prior industry experience; we provide world-class training to set you up for success from day one!

Daily Responsibilities

This role supports the day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors

and industry professionals. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers, answer calls, and field customer questions.

• Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product

recommendations.

• Build and manage customer relationships and offer sales support to customer accounts.

Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.

• Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming warehouse and yard, while following all

equipment and material-handling safety standards.

Inventory Management

• Receive and stock deliveries and transfers.

• Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.

Delivery and Transportation

• Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.

• Safely deliver customer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, while providing

world-class customer service upon arrival.

What we are looking for…

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors

Strong work ethic and reliability

Basic math and communication skills

An eagerness to work as a team

and deliver world-class customer service

Preferred, but not required…

Warehouse associate experience

Delivery driver experience

Forklift certification

Knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape materials (remember, our training rocks)

Spanish Bi-Lingual is always a plus
