Job summary

Katalyst CRO in Minnesota seeks a Delivery Assurance Specialist to strengthen supplier performance across the aerospace and defense supply chain. This role focuses on on-time delivery, supplier development, risk mitigation, and quality improvement.

You will monitor commitments, coordinate with sub-tier suppliers, perform capacity planning, and drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma. Travel to supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Experience in supply chain, supplier development, or delivery assurance in aerospace/defense.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Experience with supplier assessments, capacity planning, and production readiness.
• Familiarity with engineering outsourcing, project management, and quality systems.
• Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, and manufacturing process improvement.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness and ability to travel to supplier sites, potentially daily.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate supplier recovery plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with sub-tier suppliers to expedite critical orders.
• Analyze internal planning processes and supplier capacity constraints.
• Track parts and WIP status using LOB or similar tools.
• Escalate delivery risks and supplier non-responsiveness to internal stakeholders.
• Provide weekly progress updates to internal teams and leadership.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in supplier manufacturing processes.
• Conduct supplier site visits to assess progress and support recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Assurance

• Monitor supplier portal commitment compliance and data integrity.
• Review and validate supplier recovery plans to meet delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with sub-tier suppliers and subcontractors to expedite critical orders.
• Analyze internal planning processes and supplier capacity constraints.
• Track parts and work-in-progress (WIP) status using LOB or similar tools.
• Escalate delivery risks and supplier non-responsiveness to internal stakeholders.
• Provide weekly progress updates to internal teams and leadership.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in supplier manufacturing processes.
• Conduct supplier site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and support recovery plans.

Supplier Development

• Conduct supplier assessments with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement teams.
• Use supplier development and continuous improvement tools to improve performance.
• Support suppliers in implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Monitor KPIs and cost-to-serve data.
• Develop and maintain Supplier Improvement Plans (SIPs) in SharePoint.
• Coordinate across sites and functions to address supply chain risks.

Supplier Quality

• Develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Review and update PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Facilitate quality tools training and verify corrective action effectiveness.
• Maintain monthly reports on supplier corrective actions and quality metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in supply chain, supplier development, or delivery assurance within aerospace and defense.
