Job summary

The GIANT Company is seeking a deli team member at our West Chester, PA location. You will handle and knowledgeably manage all deli products, including receiving, weighing, slicing, wrapping, labeling, packing, and stocking shelves and displays to keep them neat and signposted for customers.

You will provide excellent customer service, assist shoppers, and maintain clean prep and display areas while following safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties satisfactorily.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service as an essential component of every position.
• Receive, process, prepare, wrap, slice, weigh, and package products.
• Maintain proper shelf, case, and display conditions, including stocking and cleaning.
• Maintain proper cooler conditions, including coding, rotating, organizing cases weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain prep area cleanliness and sanitation of work surfaces and equipment.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local deli regulations.
• Maintain a safe and clean sales floor, including sweeping and mopping.
• Provide friendly and courteous customer service, answer questions, and promote products.
• Dress according to company policy and maintain a neat appearance.
• Complete ELM training courses as added to the learning page.
