Job summary

Concord Food Co-op is seeking a team member to serve customers, keep cafe supplies stocked, and help maintain the deli area and kitchen clean. This role emphasizes friendly service, accuracy in food prep, and adherence to sanitation standards.

Experience in deli or natural foods is a plus; the position requires standing for long periods and ability to lift up to 30 lbs. A positive, detail-oriented approach and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly and courteous customer service to include offering samples, answering questions, and making suggestions.
• Prepare, portion, and package product(s) per customer request.
• Ensure that the prepared food cases are clean, stocked, rotated, garnished, and appealing to customers during entirety of shift.
• Follow established sanitation procedures per health department code.
• Ability to enter correct PLU’s for products into the scale system.
• Wash dishes as needed/necessary
• Chopping, slicing, and cutting of food items with accuracy and precision
• Proper labeling, dating and storage of prepared food items
• Assist in other duties/special projects as assigned
