Job summary

Community Food Co-op is seeking a Production Team Member to support our deli and kitchen operations. This role involves preparing soups, salads, entrees, and other deli items, while upholding safety, quality, and presentation standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will assist with receiving deliveries, stocking, merchandising, and occasional order placement, contributing to a cooperative culture and excellent customer service for our community.

Qualifications

• Willingness to be trained up to Co-op kitchen standards.
• Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to provide excellent, friendly face-to-face customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn about specialty and prepared foods and gain knowledge of natural and organic grocery industry.
• Ability to remain calm, think quickly, prioritize, and problem solve within guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare soups, salads, entrees, and deli items for service case, GnG case, and salad bar following recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Cook and prep food following department procedures and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized workspaces throughout production.
• Stock, rotate, and face deli items to ensure freshness, safety, and visual appeal; verify signage and pricing.
