Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a Deli Associate to prepare hot and cold deli foods per standards. You’ll assist with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling, and taking orders, while maintaining attractive product presentation.

You will greet customers, answer questions, and support sales through friendly service. This role requires 18+ handling equipment and 16+ age, with safety and teamwork at the core of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Food Handler certification is required.
• Must be able to operate a slicer and other department tools.
• Able to read and follow customer orders and labels.
• Flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist deli staff with slicing, weighing, packaging, labeling and preparing hot and cold deli items.
• Greet customers and take orders by phone and in person with a friendly attitude.
• Maintain clean, safe and sanitary work and shopping environments.
• Support product presentation and promote sales via suggestive selling.
• Adhere to quality control and food safety standards.
