Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Deli team member to deliver customer-focused service while handling deli products and maintaining display cases.

You will slice, package, and weigh meats and cheeses, assist members with selections, and help keep the department clean, safe, and well-stocked. This role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to food safety, and flexible attendance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Work experience in a deli department preferred.
Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
Knowledge of deli products preferred.
At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Provides a high level of customer service to Members. Answers questions and recommends deli items.
Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats. Helps Members select the correct products.
Receives and inspects deli shipments. Displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following food safety policies.
Ensures that all products are fresh and meet company quality standards. Checks for out-of-date products daily.
Maintains deli cooler shelves and display cases with a wide variety of product. Stocks and rotates items.
Operates and handles deli equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
