Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a deli team member to slice, package, weigh, and sell a variety of deli products, including meats and cheeses. You will maintain deli display cases, ensure freshness, and assist Members with their selections in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, safety, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and adhering to club policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a deli department preferred.
• Experience operating deli slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to Members. Answers questions and recommends deli items.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats. Helps Members select the correct products.
• Receives and inspects deli shipments. Displays, stocks, rotate, and stores deli products following food safety policies.
• Ensures deli cooler shelves and display cases have a wide variety of product; stocks and rotates items.
• Operates and handles deli equipment in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures; performs other duties as assigned.
