Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Charlottesville seeks a dedicated food service team member for the Deli to help customers select premium deli meats and cheeses and to provide easy meal solutions in a fast-paced setting.

You will slice, package, label products, and ensure cases stay clean, stocked, and attractive while assisting with deliveries and restocking to maintain freshness and quality.

Qualifications

• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers in a fast-paced deli setting.
• Maintain safe food handling and proper labeling of deli products.
• Assist with stocking, labeling, and replenishing deli cases to keep products fresh.

Responsibilities

• Complete customer orders by slicing, packaging and labeling products
• Provide incredible service and answer customer questions in a timely manner
• Ensure fresh and appealing deli cases and self-service cases by keeping them cleaned and well-stocked
• Unload and break down daily deliveries, stock cases, displays and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory; refill and rotate for freshness
