Job summary

Refuel is seeking a Deli Assistant Manager to support daily deli operations and maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and service. You will train and supervise team members, manage inventory and food costs, and uphold our commitment to fresh, high-quality products in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays, with at-will employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, food service, or customer service.
• On-the-job training is provided for all new team members.

Responsibilities

• Support daily deli operations, ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards.
• Train, coach, and supervise team members to deliver quality products and excellent guest service.
• Oversee food preparation, product presentation, and inventory control to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Manage ordering, vendor deliveries, and cost controls to achieve financial goals.
• Maintain clean, safe, and efficient work areas, including regular equipment and display inspections.
• Foster a positive, team-focused environment and support scheduling and staffing needs.
• Perform additional duties as required to ensure smooth deli operations and guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to the Company’s established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
