Gerrity's Supermarkets is seeking a Deli Clerk to support the Deli Department, presenting a professional and courteous image while delivering high standards of customer service. You will slice and weigh deli meats and cheeses, maintain department cleanliness, and assist with setup, promotions, and safety compliance throughout shifts.

Role requires no formal education, minimum age 18, ability to lift 40 pounds, and basic math/reading skills.

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand English

Responsibilities

• Greets and waits on customer and thanks customer upon their complete satisfaction
• Slices and weighs deli meats and cheeses to the satisfaction of the customer
• Maintains and stocks all designated department areas
• Cleans all department equipment periodically throughout their shift
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout department areas
• Set up and tear down all required areas at designated times
• Be aware and communicate to customers all departmental or store promotions
• Attend workstation at the start of shift
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and dress code
• Attendance at job is essential
• Comply with Employee Handbook policies
• All essential functions of the job
