Westborn Market in Plymouth, MI is seeking a Deli Associate to operate deli equipment, assist customers, and support the meat and seafood departments as needed, under the Deli Manager and Deli Shift Leader.

You will prepare, package, and price items, maintain product knowledge, and provide friendly, efficient service while upholding safety and attendance policies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messages.
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position.

Responsibilities

• Operates a deli/cheese slicer.
• Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed.
• Assists customers with orders placed at deli counter.
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed.
• Maintains a current knowledge of product.
• Provides assistance to meat and seafood departments as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service.
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Samples product at the direction of the department manager.
