Job summary

Albertsons Companies is hiring a Deli Clerk to create a welcoming experience while preparing fresh deli items. You’ll slice meats and cheeses, assemble hot and ready‑to‑eat options, and assist customers with recommendations and portions in a fast‑paced environment.

You will also keep the department stocked, labeled, and clean, monitor freshness and temperatures, and help with ordering, displays, and equipment as needed. Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Customer interaction and clear communication with customers in person or by phone.
• Experience preparing deli products, including slicing, assembling, and portioning.
• Knowledge of deli meats, cheeses, prepared foods, and hot-case items.
• Attention to labeling, pricing, and accurate portioning for orders.
• Strong organization and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Merchandising skills to maintain clean, appealing display cases.
• Basic cash handling and accurate change using register systems.
• Awareness of food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced environment with changing customer demand.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
