Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is looking for a deli teammate to slice, package, and sell deli products while keeping displays clean and well-stocked. You will assist members with selections, prepare trays, and ensure freshness and safety across the deli department.

Role requires experience in a deli setting, operation of slicers and scales, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. This position emphasizes guest service and accurate pricing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Work experience in a deli department preferred.
• Prior experience operating manual/power slicers and scales preferred.
• Knowledge of deli products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides a high level of customer service to Members, answers questions and recommends deli items.
• Slices, packages, and weighs deli products, including cheeses and meats; assist with special orders.
• Receives and inspects deli shipments; displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following safety and quality procedures.
• Ensures products are fresh and meet quality standards; checks for out-of-date products daily.
• Maintains deli equipment and areas, cleans surfaces and tools.
• Ensures scales are accurate and items are weighed and priced correctly.
• Regular, predictable attendance is required.
