Job summary

Shaw’s and Star Market is seeking a Deli Clerk to help customers choose from deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and prepared items. You’ll slice meats, assemble grab-and-go options, and ensure fast, friendly service in a busy store environment.

You’ll also keep the deli department stocked, clean, and safe, monitor freshness, and work with equipment to prepare hot and cold items while embracing a fast-paced schedule and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment safely.
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh deli items and assist customers with selections.
• Keep the deli department stocked, clean, and ready; monitor freshness and temperature.
• Slice meats and prepare grab-and-go items.
• Operate register and process transactions as needed.
