Job summary

ShopRite of Flanders in Flanders, NJ is seeking an Appy/Deli Clerk to support the Appy/Deli Manager in daily operations. You will keep the department neat, stocked, and visually appealing while ensuring safe, efficient service and a great customer experience.

A successful candidate reads and speaks English, can lift up to 50 lbs, and is comfortable with slicing equipment and temperature-controlled environments.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Able to perform basic math.
• Able to operate department equipment (e.g., slicer, scale, wrapping machine).
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Able to work with others and follow schedules.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate slicing machine and related equipment.
• Replenish Appy/Deli products for sale.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and pricing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Assist in inventory and display maintenance.
• Assist Department Manager with daily operations.
