Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. in Brockton, MA is hiring a Deli Clerk to prepare fresh foods and create a welcoming customer experience.

You’ll help customers select deli meats, cheeses, hot foods, and grab-and-go items while keeping the counter fast and friendly. You’ll stock and maintain displays, ensure product freshness, operate slicers and prep equipment safely, and work in a busy, hands-on environment with changing demand.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to operate slicers and food preparation equipment following training and safety guidelines
• Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and transactions
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh deli items and assist customers with selections (meats, cheeses, hot foods, grab-and-go items).
• Slice meats, assemble items, and portion products.
• Stock and rotate display cases; keep displays clean and visually appealing.
• Monitor product freshness and temperature; ensure proper labeling and dating.
• Take orders, ring up transactions, and assist customers at the counter.
• Maintain organization and workflow to support fast, friendly service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.
• Adapt to busy periods and changing customer demand.
• Assist with restocking and equipment operation as needed.
