Job summary

McCaffrey’s Supermarkets in Newtown, PA is seeking a Deli Associate for a full-time 40-hour work week. You will provide prompt, courteous service and assist in slicing, weighing and pricing deli products to customer specifications.

You will also replenish shelves, rotate inventory, prepare party trays, and maintain a clean, sanitary work area while staying informed about all deli items. Must be 18+ and able to work around slicers and knives. Uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail or grocery setting.
• Numerical accuracy for weighing, pricing and inventory.
• Ability to operate scales and computer systems for transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service to customers.
• Cut deli meats and cheeses to customers' preferences.
• Weigh, wrap, code and price deli products accurately.
• Replenish shelves and rotate product; check for out-of-code items.
• Prepare party trays and maintain sanitation and cleanliness.
• Maintain knowledge of all products in the department.
• Ensure dates are coordinated for inventory rotation.
