Gerrity's Supermarkets in Northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Deli Clerk to support daily deli operations, greet customers, and maintain high service standards.

You will slice and weigh meats and cheeses, keep displays tidy, follow safety and sanitation rules, and uphold the company's Customer Service Pledge. Previous experience not required; must be 18+ and able to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and handle objects.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Slice and weigh deli meats and cheeses per customer specifications.
• Maintain and stock department areas.
• Clean department equipment during shift and at close.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout department.
• Set up and tear down areas as scheduled.
• Promote store promotions to customers.
• Be at workstation at the start of shift.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge.
• Maintain neat, professional appearance and dress code.
• Attendance is essential.
• Follow policies in Employee Handbook.
• Perform all other duties as assigned within the department.
