Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company in Florida seeks a Bakery/Deli Associate to support daily deli operations and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. You will promote fresh products, ensure proper temperatures, and maintain cleanliness and organization to meet safety and quality standards.

You will assist customers, answer questions, prepare, package and display products, and follow company guidelines to reduce shrink while upholding diversity and an inclusive store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Operate deli equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun) according to company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Service (60%) – Create a welcoming environment, ensure product availability, freshness and value, offer samples and assist customers.
• Leadership (20%) – Promote teamwork and adhere to laws and guidelines.
• Financial (10%) – Monitor inventory, ensure proper display and temperature, and manage waste and shrink.
• Compliance/Safety (10%) – Enforce safety, food handling, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, report hazards and maintain safety training.
