Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a Bakery/Service Associate to support daily bakery operations and promote fresh, appealing products. You will provide courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service while ensuring quality, temperature control, labeling and safe handling practices.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and following safety regulations to uphold store standards and customer satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Operate deli equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun) according to company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the daily bakery operations and ensures fresh, appealing products and courteous service.
• Delivers conditions meeting at-shelf availability, freshness, quality, and value; offers samples and helps customers find products.
• Promotes teamwork, shares information with staff, and adheres to laws and company guidelines.
• Maintains inventory awareness, checks product quality, and ensures proper temperature control and safety logs.
• Performs all duties with safety and sanitation in mind and follows recall/withdrawal procedures when needed.
