Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Deli Associate at our Grand Rapids location to bake, fry, package, display, and stock deli products while ensuring the department contributes to the store's financial success.

The role requires familiarity with deli items, strong safety and cleanliness practices, and a customer-focused mindset. A high school diploma is preferred and retail experience is valued. The company offers a robust Total Rewards benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred).
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Baking and frying duties determined by production schedule - 80% of time.
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag deli products.
• Properly fill, rotate, inspect and merchandise deli shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify the Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking of merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked department.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
