Job summary

River Valley Co-op is seeking a Prep Foods Team Member II to prepare beverages, meats, and sandwiches while delivering friendly customer service. This on-site role involves maintaining product quality, labeling, and weekly prep tasks in a busy deli environment.

You’ll support the Prepared Foods Deli team, handle equipment safely, and contribute to meeting department goals in a cooperative, community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced deli environment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand for long hours and work in close quarters with teammates.
• Communicate positively with staff and customers.
• Flexible shifts from early morning to late evening.

Responsibilities

• Maintain par levels for all deli items.
• Prepare drip coffee, smoothies, fresh juice, and espresso to order.
• Slice meat and cheese to order; assemble hot and cold sandwiches.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to meet sales and margin goals.
• Maintain correct signage with ingredients, dates, and prices.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures and report needs to Manager.
• Read and initial daily deli communication logs.
• Attend team and storewide meetings.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Prepared Foods Deli Manager.
