Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Deli Clerk to help customers choose healthy options and prepare fresh meals. You will provide great service, prepare and display deli items, and assist with special orders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include operating deli equipment, maintaining cleanliness, rotating stock, and ensuring safety and quality compliance. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required, with physical duties including lifting up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and experience in grocery/restaurant or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Be dependable and reliable.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Must lift/carry up to 70 lbs., from 4” to 60”, up to 20 feet, without aid for up to 4 hours.
• Must stand for up to 4 hours continuously, total 8 hours per shift.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment; maintain equipment safety.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements; Food Handler permit.
• Able to work in coolers and freezers.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service and ensure deli items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Fill, rotate, and display products.
• Prepare special orders and party trays.
• Operate deli equipment following company standards.
• Keep deli area clean, safe, and sanitary.
• Receive, inspect, and log product shipments.
