Job summary

Orcas Island Market is seeking a Deli – Prep Cook for a full-time, year-round role. Candidates must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

You will prepare ingredients, maintain sanitation, and support deli operations while ensuring products are fresh and appealing for customers. The role reports to the Deli management team and collaborates with store staff to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a deli or kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work safely around hot equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Must obtain and maintain a WA Food Worker Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deli items per recipes and food safety standards.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, slicing, chopping, and portioning.
• Safely operate knives, slicers, mixers, fryers, ovens, and other prep equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and rotate stock; assist customers with products.
