Job summary

Schnucks Markets, Inc. is seeking a Deli Clerk to provide friendly, accurate service, prepare fresh sandwiches and salads, and ensure the highest product quality in our Delis. Your role includes customer interaction, product knowledge, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

You will handle slicers and equipment, assist customers, manage product rotation, and support coworkers while complying with safety guidelines and company recipes.

Qualifications

• Friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Follow proper time/temperature controls and handling practices.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, both in person and on the phone at all times.
• Maintain a positive work environment and ensure freshness of products.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses, and rotate stock as needed.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, party trays, and special orders per recipes.
• Operate slicers and wrapping equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Support teammates and ensure customer needs are met.
