Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Colorado Springs is seeking a Deli Manager to lead one of the store’s busiest teams and empower teammates to deliver fresh, high‑quality products and exceptional service.

You will recruit, coach, schedule, and evaluate staff, manage deli operations, ensure food safety, and drive department performance in line with store goals. This role requires 2+ years supervisory experience and deli experience, with a passion for healthy living and customer care.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 2 years of supervisory experience and 2 years of deli department experience; or an acceptable combination of experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing, friendly behavior with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to take and give direction.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Maintain Food Safety certification and compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and merchandise the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Order and manage inventory controls, product quality.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver the finest quality of product and service and a great customer experience.
• Coach and evaluate team members and participate in performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager.
• Recruit, hire and promote staff in collaboration with Store Manager.
• Address team concerns and take corrective actions as needed.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels for efficiency.
• Communicate standards, expectations, and product knowledge to team members.
• Oversee product orders, receiving, and storage.
• Operate and maintain deli equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain department inventories and meet gross profit goals.
• Work with Store Manager and other leaders to ensure store success.
