Responsibilities

• Process customer orders efficiently, promoting products through engaging selling techniques.
• Execute receiving procedures, following policies for credit, shortages, and damages.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing requests.
• Champion food safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Monitor deli operations, ensuring optimal service levels and adherence to company standards and procedures.
• Delegate tasks effectively, prioritizing assignments and fostering teamwork to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage inventory levels, proactively ordering products to meet demand and adhere to inventory guidelines.
• Handle department paperwork, utilizing tablets for efficient communication and record-keeping.
• Conduct departmental inventories, interpreting daily & weekly product movement reports.
• Participate in manager meetings, sales meetings, & team huddles to stay aligned with company goals.
• Implement corporate merchandising plans to maximize sales and profitability.
• Take ownership of department financial goals, including sales, gross profit, payroll, and supply management.
• Foster a positive team environment, providing feedback on team performance and participating in disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring compliance with all department and store policies.
• Lead by example, ensuring all team members follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Teammate Personnel handbook and other manuals.
• Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned by store or corporate management, contributing to the success of the deli department and overall store.
