Gerrity's Supermarkets in Scranton, PA, is seeking an Assistant Deli Manager to support the Deli Manager in running a professional, customer-focused department. You will help ensure high standards of service, proper product handling, and efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities include overseeing department tasks, maintaining inventory, and upholding safety and dress-code policies while delivering friendly customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, such as pounds and weight increments.
• No minimum educational requirement needed.
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Competent knowledge of all essential functions for department positions.
• Assist with achieving sales and gross profit.
• Assist in maintaining and controlling supplies, inventory and shrink.
• Responsible for full compliance of the Department Ordering Manual.
• Assist with maintaining department product quality, rotation and temperature.
• Stock and merchandise department products.
• Maintain a sanitary department in all areas.
• Ensure proper maintenance of deli equipment.
• Assist with communication of department goals to staff.
• Perform duties as directed by Deli Manager.
