Job summary

Redner's Markets is seeking a Deli Supervisor to direct and supervise all functions of the Deli Department to meet sales and profit goals. This role reports to the Deli Supervisor/Store Director and is Non-Exempt for a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include enforcing health codes, validating deliveries and invoices, managing inventory for freshness, training staff, and maintaining sanitation and safety policies across the department.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, order merchandise, and maintain an acceptable inventory level.
• Basic analytical and math skills necessary for interpreting invoices, gross profits, and labor percentages.
• At least one year of deli experience.
• Must have adequate oral and written communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Must be able to stand upright for the majority of your scheduled work shift.

• Responsible for ensuring that all department personnel are properly trained, and work according to all company policies.
• Maintain a housekeeping program to ensure a clean and orderly department.
• Effectively train, supervise, and schedule personnel to achieve the highest quality of customer service.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. 1) Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
2. 2) Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, order merchandise, and maintain an acceptable inventory level.
3. 3) Basic analytical and math skills necessary for interpreting invoices, gross profits, and labor percentages.
