Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Line Cook at one of our venues in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The role requires at least 1 year of line cook experience, strong English communication, and the ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards.

The starting pay is $12.00 per hour, based on experience, with opportunities for growth within the company’s Total Rewards program. Candidates should be able to work collaboratively with team members and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Basic reading and math skills for recipes and measurements.
• Minimum one year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen.
• Ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Learn and be familiar with the facility’s room outlets and respond to general questions about the property.
• Read food orders, prepare items according to established recipes and menu plans.
• Prepare all food items accurately and in a timely manner.
• Wash, slice, peel, and cut foods for cooking or serving.
• Ensure procedures, quality standards and menu specs are followed.
• Complete opening/closing duties and communicate with leads and sous chefs.
