Job summary

Oliver is seeking a Deli Lead to support daily deli operations and drive profitability. This full-time role, not tied to a single store, requires complete weekend availability and strong leadership within the deli team.

You will assist the Deli Manager with tasks, inventory control, and vendor coordination to ensure quality and pricing accuracy. The role emphasizes customer service, product preparation, and adherence to company specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, address the needs of customers, and answer their questions in a timely and effective manner.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of the financial needs of the Deli Department.
• Supervision, delegation of tasks, and development of the Deli Team in the absence of the Deli Manager and Assistant Deli Manager.
• Ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and timely. (e.g. waste logs, time and temperature logs, prep list, etc.)
• Place vendor orders and intercompany transfer orders to maintain appropriate levels of back stock.
• Prepare products according to the Companys specifications and recipes.
• Package, weigh, label, and price products for full and self-service cases, using the Cry-O-Vac (ROP) when appropriate.
• Preparation of catering orders.
• Accountable for inventory on the floor. (e.g. merchandising, facing products, pulling inventory, rotating perishable items, proper and accurate signage, product placement, etc.)
• Maintain display cases to ensure product quality, cleanliness, and accuracy of signs and pricing. (e.g. set up displays, check dates and rotate, replenish ice, etc.)
