You will prepare items using standardized methods, manage cooking timelines, and maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization. The role requires knowledge of basic cooking methods, ability to follow supervisor directions, and a commitment to health and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cooking methods.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Valid health certificate or ability to obtain certification required.
• Ability to interpret and comply with a variety of instructions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items using a quality predetermined method in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the preparation and cooking of the food, timelines and food delivery, cleanliness and organizations of the kitchen’s work station.
• Ensure Health code standards are followed.
• Ensure food safety procedures are followed.
• Must be able to follow directions of supervisor and maintain good relations with staff.
• Interact in courteous and professional manner with all staff and guest of the delicatessen.
• Other duties as assigned or instructed by management.
