Job summary

Pan Pacific Retail Management (Guam) Co., Ltd. dba DON DON DONKI is seeking a Quality Control Coordinator to oversee product quality, freshness, food safety, and presentation across fresh departments including produce, meat, seafood, deli, dairy and frozen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years in supermarket environment preferred; food handling experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills; ability to respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily freshness and quality inspections for all perishable departments.
• Monitor expiration dates, product rotation (FIFO) and ensure cold chain compliance.
• Identify and remove damaged, expired, or non-compliant products from the sales floor and backroom.
• Verify product temperatures and ensure refrigerated and frozen items stay within required ranges.
• Perform quality checks on incoming deliveries and report issues with vendors.
• Support market-down and sell-through activities to reduce waste and improve inventory turnover.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in displays, storage areas, and preparation spaces.
• Monitor display conditions, facing, stocking levels, and product presentation for freshness.
• Maintain records of quality inspections, temperature logs, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with fresh departments on quality concerns, recalls, or urgent actions.
• Assist with compliance to food safety policies and SOPs.
• Report recurring quality issues and operational risks to management.
• Support inventory control and stock organization for perishables.
• Participate in store audits and continuous improvement activities.
