Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a friendly, team-oriented individual for deli department duties in a fast-paced store environment in Concord, NC. You will greet guests, assist with deli services, explain products, provide samples, and ensure product freshness and sanitation.

The role involves front-end tasks to keep customer wait times low, along with receiving and stocking duties. Must be 18+, able to lift 25 lbs regularly, and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Able to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, customer service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with guests.
• Perform duties in a fast-paced environment while interacting with guests and team members.
• Explain products available in the deli area (ingredients, flavors, menu items).
• Offer samples to guests and explain offerings when needed.
• Prepare deli products for sale (frying, cutting, slicing, weighing, pricing, cooking).
• Maintain product quality and freshness per station guidelines.
• Keep cooler, freezer, prep and sales areas clean and sanitized.
• Relay guest requests to management and fulfill them promptly.
• Communicate temperature and product breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supplies and work areas neat and tidy at all times.
• Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.
• Perform front-end duties to ensure no-long-wait customer flow.
• Announce specials and sale information over PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
