Job summary

SpartanNash, operating D&W Fresh Market under its C&S Wholesale Grocers family, is seeking a deli associate to bake, fry, package, display and stock deli products. The role contributes to the store's financial performance and requires readiness to perform other duties as assigned.

The position emphasizes serving customers, maintaining product freshness, and adhering to safety and cleanliness standards within a retail deli environment in Holland, Michigan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Bake, fry, package, display and stock deli products as per schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and bag deli products.
• Fill, rotate, inspect and merchandise deli shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Deli Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Familiarize with all products carried in the department and know price, taste, preparation and use.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, attractive, well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines, food safety and cleaning expectations, guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer needs.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
