Job summary

Ridleys-Family-Markets-Inc is seeking a capable deli associate to support daily operations in the Deli Department. You will interact with customers, prepare deli products, and help manage inventory and pricing to drive store performance.

The role requires prior deli experience, basic math skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, and adherence to safety and company policies. We offer a busy, team-oriented environment with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• Previous deli experience required.
• Basic math skills including money, weights, volumes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Certification for forklift and/or pallet jack may be required.
• 18+ years old; 21+ to sell tobacco/alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store through professional communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve sales storewide.
• Assist in planning, organization, and direction of the Deli Department activities.
• Know and be able to cost out all materials to determine proper retails.
• Aid in development and growth of department personnel through training and evaluation procedures.
• Assist in maintaining department labor and inventory in line with budgets and guidelines.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of products and service.
