Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets in Idaho is seeking a Deli Department Lead who will oversee daily deli operations, maintain product quality, and coach team members to deliver exceptional guest service.

You will plan merchandising, control labor and inventory per budgets, and collaborate with other departments to drive storewide sales while upholding company policies and safety standards. This role requires prior deli experience, strong leadership, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have deli experience.
• Basic math skills including money, weight, measurement, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote morale within department and store with professional communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to improve storewide sales.
• Comply with company policies and codes of conduct.
• Provide professional example through coaching and evaluations.
• Assist in planning, organization, and direction of deli department activities.
• Cost out all materials to determine proper retails.
• Assist in growth and training of department personnel.
• Teach fundamentals of deli production including mixing, cooking, frying, and finishing.
• Plan aggressive merchandising programs for increased sales and assist cross-merchandising.
